Terms & Conditions for SMC Kitchens Ltd

SMC Kitchens Ltd here by referred to as the Company

Customer (person signing as the customer)

Conditions of sale apply to all goods supplied by the company to the customer

Quotation & Order confirmation

It is the sole responsibility of the customer to check and be satisfied with all the information given in the quotation and on the order confirmation.

This includes

  • All technical details stated within the confirmation order
  • Style and type of kitchen including handles
  • Front colours, work surface type,
  • Appliances type and specification meets with the customer requirements
  • All accessories meet with customer requirements

Confirmation of order

Confirmation of an order will only be sent for manufacturing when all details have been agreed and signed by the customer and the initial payment has been received.

Any alteration to the order needs to be in writing/e-mail with any occurred surcharges met by the customer.

Delivery

All goods will be delivered to the company’s warehouse. Delivery to the customer will be as per agreement between the company and the customer. When delivery has been made all goods will become the responsibility of the customer. The company cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage. Goods are to be checked upon delivery. Any discrepancies/damage must be reported to the company within 7 days.

Payment

  • Initial payment 50%
  • Balance payment 3 days prior to delivery

Colour Variations

Natural products such as timber and granite have variations in colour and markings, therefore no guarantee can be given that what is supplied is identical to what is seen in our Showroom.

Natural products

  • All timber products being of natural living medium are subject to grain and shading difference
  • All granite work surfaces are subject to colour and pattern variations
  • All solid surface work tops (composite) are subject to colour and pattern variations

Cancellation

The company is classed as on premises sales and do not have to give cancellation rights by Law. However, The Company has a cancellation policy of within 5 days of the signed contract. Any cancellation outside of this time may occur additional cost. Cancellation of orders must be given in writing/email to the company. The company will confirm this by
return.

Warranty

  • All nobilia kitchen furniture is guaranteed for 5 years
  • All appliances have a manufactures warranty/guarantee
  • Installation by the company has a 2-year guarantee

Installation

  • It is the customers responsibility to ensure the site is ready for installation
  • All kitchen furniture, worktops, and appliances fitted as per the agreed plan
  • All appliances fitted as per manufactures instructions
  • All electrical work will be compliant to the current regs BS7671
  • All electrical work will be certified for Part P of the building’s regulation
  • All gas installation to comply with Gas Safety installation and Use Regulations 1989

Dry fit installation

  • The company will install all supplied goods as per the agreed plan
  • The company will install all appliances supplied by the company only
  • The company will provide technical specifications for appliances supplied
  • The company will not do any final connections to the relevant services
  • It is the responsibility of the customers own electrician/plumber to connect and commission all appliances supplied/fitted by the company

Solid surface worktop installation (Quartz, Granite, Marble and Corian)

  • All solid surface worktops will be fitted 7-14 working days from templating dates
  • The customer must be present on the day of templating and installation

Remedial works

Our kitchens and appliances are manufactured to the highest standards. However, on occasion some articles may have manufacturing defects/damage. Any such articles will be replaced under warranty and are subject to delivery lead times at the time of ordering
